Christmas Day

While they look really tired, it's almost 7:35am. A late start for most.

It's Rainin Men

Christmas Eve

This is a tradition from when I was little. I remember Dad being so frustrated when we would be silly during the nativity story. I guess we have come full circle.
During the afternoon everybody was trying to find things to do to make the day go by. I heard I'm bored more times than usual in a day.

My only baking helper.

Pictures with Santa 2010

Not impressed.

Not impressed.

Why am I here?

Not so sure.

Santa comes to our ward Christmas party every year. This Santa was trying to convince the girls they should ask for a hammer and the boys to ask for a pocket knife. Hence the look on their faces.

Pumpkins....Part 2

Olivia and Corinne
Cameron, Tyler and Trey
These guys thought they could get away with 2 times around the trunk or treat lot. They found out the hard way you can spot a slice of pizza and a whoopie cushion a mile away. Next year they might try to be less conspicuous.

Why such a heavy pumpkin?

Even Jayden is trying to drag one.

Finally the perfect pumpkin.
The first year we came to this farm we told the kids they could choose whatever pumpkin they wanted. After we got to the checkout and realized paying by the pound made for expensive pumpkins, we changed our policy. From that year on, we decided you had to be able to carry your pumpkin from start to finish-no help. Now that the kids are getting bigger, they enjoy the challenge of carrying the "bigger" pumpkins to the checkout. We may have to instigate a pumpkin weight limit.

Pumpkins, Ducks and Halloween Part 1

We started with 4 loaves of bread. The ducks made quick work of it all and the kids loved every minute of it.

Everyone worked hard at the pumpkin carving, but Monique did most of the scraping of the guts. Jayden took one sniff and said, "I don't like that stuff." Julia and Madeline stayed the coarse.
