This is a tradition from when I was little. I remember Dad being so frustrated when we would be silly during the nativity story. I guess we have come full circle. During the afternoon everybody was trying to find things to do to make the day go by. I heard I'm bored more times than usual in a day.

Yay! I see our card on the pantry door =)
We've started doing our gingerbread houses on Christmas Eve for that very reason - just to give the kids something fun to do to pass the time. (And I like the other part - then they only sit around on our kitchen counters for a few days instead of all month long.) =)
